Japanese postponed the start of sales of the hybrid Acura RLX

Japanese premium brand Acura postpones start of official sales of its flagship hybrid sedan RLX Sport Hybrid. 




According to the senior vice president of Acura Mike Akkavitti, dealers model RLX Sport Hybrid was supposed to appear in the spring, but the engineers did not have time to complete the test term test car and find a solution to the problems at the stage of development of the model of technical problems. 

About what exactly the problem has been found in the hybrid vehicle during testing, a top manager did not elaborate, limiting message that the characteristics of a sedan "does not meet the expectations of developers." 


As the newspaper writes WCF, from Acura RLX Sport Hybrid revealed problems with the power plant and all-wheel-drive SH-AWD. Hybrid unit includes a 3.5-liter gasoline engine V6 power of 310 hp and three electric motors, one of which is integrated into the seven-speed robotized transmission with double clutch.
