Skoda revealed the details of a new line of motor Fabia

The world debut of the third generation Skoda Fabia to be held in October at the Paris Motor Show, and sales will begin in late 20144 - early 2015. 




Compared with its predecessor, the new Fabia will be 17 per cent more economical due to reduced to 65 kilograms weight (base modification model will weigh only 980 pounds) and updated motor lineup consisting of four petrol and two diesel engines. They all meet the ecological requirements of the standard "Euro 6". 

In the petrol range will be the base engine liter three-cylinder MPI with direct fuel injection, developing 60 horsepower, and the top-end - 110-hp 1.2-liter TSI four-cylinder engine. 

Initially, the model will be available for one diesel engine: the 1.4-liter three-cylinder engine with an aluminum block, which develops depending on the configuration of 75 or 105 horsepower. 

Until the end of 2015 will receive an eco-friendly modification Fabia GreenLine, in which a 1.4-liter 75-hp TDI systems will be equipped with "start-stop" and the kinetic energy recovery. In addition, this version will get tires with reduced rolling resistance and a series of aerodynamic improvements for the reduction of fuel consumption. As a result of the new Skoda Fabia will burn just 3.1 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers when driving in the combined cycle, emitting 82 grams of CO2 per kilometer.
