To celebrate the 30th anniversary with the launch of the legendary Land Cruiser SUV 70, Toyota announced that it will gather in Japan, the original model for one year for the domestic market.
Toyota expects to sell 200 SUV a month. In the Japanese auto car will arrive this week. Land Cruiser 70 will be available in two body versions - a van and pickup, both four-door. SUV will be assembled at the plant in Japan Yoshivara.
Under the hood of the anniversary version of the SUV will house a 4.0-liter V6 petrol engine produces 231 hp and 360 Nm of torque. Operate the engine will be mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The new SUV model will be slightly different from the original version. The car will receive a new grille, new hood and modern lights. Also, airbags and ABS. On both sides of the SUV will add a memorial emblem for the 30th anniversary of the model.
SUV Toyota Land Cruiser 70 production started in Japan in 1984. The car quickly became famous for their reliability, durability and excellent off-road performance. Cars for the domestic market were equipped with diesel engines in volume of 3.4 liters to 4.2 liters.
Issue SUV in Japan was discontinued in 2004. Australian market for Land Cruiser 70 is made to this day.
