Company Citroen has prepared for the October Paris Motor Show concept hatchback called. Its design uses laser headlamps made by the same technology that BMW and Audi, as well as the "holographic" display and crystals Swarovski.
According to the French manufacturer, the novelty has not been created on the basis of any existing model and does not hint at the emergence of similar serial machines. The prototype demonstrates that, in what direction will develop brand DS, including the design of future vehicles.
"Divine DS - it's all of our experience and knowledge gathered together. This concept car expresses what is the brand of DS now and what it will be later. This is the perfect combination of sophistication and technology, just showing the unique personality of the brand," - said the head of department DS Yves Bonnefont.
The novelty has received 40 millimeters shorter and 110 millimeters below the hatchback Volkswagen Golf, as well as a 65 mm shorter and 173 millimeters below the Citroen DS4. Overall length and height of the French prototype reaches 4210 and 1,350 millimeters respectively.
The concept has a glass roof, made from a variety of different-sized diamond-shaped crystals, some of which are made clear, tinted and frosted. At the same time there is no hatchback rear window - what is happening behind the car is displayed on the 10.4-inch display is installed on the site of a traditional mirror.
For Divine DS in Citroen drafted a personalization of the interior, which allows you to change the design options for 15 minutes. For hatchback developed three themes interior design under the names Mâle, Parisian Chic and Fatale Punk. The first of them is described by the manufacturer as "true men" and offers a carbon fiber finish, coupled with a glossy and worn skin. Insertion of these materials are located mainly on the doors and dashboard.
The second option involves finishing the appearance connected with pleated silk satin, ivory leather, beads and crystals. The third design theme manufacturer calls "a more glamorous." It will be dominated by dark colors, soft leather and even more crystals Swarovski.
The concept is equipped with a 270-horsepower gasoline turbo 1.6-liter and 20-inch wheels. In Citroen claim that the engine provides "impressive growth", without mentioning the exact parameters (for example, coupe Peugeot RCZ R with the same unit dials "hundreds" of 5.9 seconds), complies with the environmental standards "Euro-6", and its level CO2 emissions up to 145 grams per kilometer.
