Lotus announced a reduction of its staff

One of the main purpose of Lotus Jale called a significant expansion of the dealer network and model line, as well as revision of existing machines. So, for the last time Lotus Cars opened nine dealerships around the world, and the company plans to open another 20 stores "in the coming months." Jale also confirmed that the brand expects to develop a sedan and crossover. Head expressed the hope that with the new strategy he and colleagues will be able to "bring back the former glory of the brand." 

In late 2013 Lotus has received from the British Government grant for the development of new models in the amount of 10.44 million pounds (about 12.5 million euros). At the same time to invest in the brand and announced its Malaysian owner - the company DRB-Hicom. She promised to spend on the development of "Lotus" 100 million pounds (119 million euros). 

Jale was appointed Executive Director of Lotus Cars in the spring of 2014. Before that, he held senior positions in Daimler AG, General Motors, Volkswagen and PSA Peugeot Citroen. In particular, he was responsible for the withdrawal of the world market "premium" sub-brand Citroen - DS. In the "Lotus" Jale replaced Dany Bahar, who was dismissed in 2012 for misappropriation of funds.
