Toyota has created a conceptual urban van

Concern Toyota introduced the concept car U2, showing the Japanese vision on how to be a city truck. Actually, the name U2 reflects two main qualities of this machine, starting with the letter "Y" - urban and utilitarian.

A distinctive feature of the concept is a convertible cargo bay. The assembled box is very compact, which is useful for maneuvering in city traffic.

However, unlike most of my classmates, U2 boasts a large flip-up tailgate, lengthens the loading platform. Moreover, Toyota engineers have equipped the cargo bay folding roof, thereby removing the limitation on the height of the load.

The interior of the cabin is thought so that the car can be set two rows of seats, but you can only do limited driver's seat, increasing cargo space. Dashboard looks futuristic and drew the attention of a large-screen display of TAC on the center console.

Specifications are not given, but judging by the design of the front part of the body with the absence of the slits for cooling internal combustion engines, U2, most likely, is an electric vehicle. Concept will be demonstrated at the opening at the end of this month, the International Fair in New York.
