Volkswagen Touareg gets a new diesel

Volkswagen has announced that it will replace the 3-liter diesel engine for the Touareg with a new unit. 




According to the press center, the engine will have the same volume, but begins to develop 262 hp. s. instead of 245 liters. s. In this case, the manufacturer claims that the new V6 TDI decreased average fuel consumption. 


Tuareg current 3-liter "six" consumes 7.2 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers. The new unit will reduce the appetite to 6.6 liters per 100 kilometers. 3,0 TDI work will continue with the 8-step "automatic", and carbon dioxide emissions amount to only 174 g / km. The motor has a new catalytic converter and complies with Euro-6. 


The updated Touareg will go on sale in October this year. The car has received a number of external improvements and options, including Google Earth, Street View, integrated into the navigation system.
