Renault introduced a supercar with an engine from the Nissan GT-R

Renault has unveiled at the Moscow Motor prototype race car Sport RS01, which will take part in the new mono Cup World Series, "Reno". Machine equipped with an upgraded 3.8-liter six-cylinder turbo engine from the Nissan GT-R. His company was engaged in setting Nismo, factory tuner Japanese brand. 



A similar engine on Nissan GT-R produces 550 horsepower, but for the prototype power was reduced to 500 power. Rear-wheel motor racing Renault is paired with a seven-speed sequential transmission Sadev. Acceleration from zero to hundred kilometers per hour indicated. Maximum speed - 300 kilometers per hour. 


Monocoque car is made of carbon fiber and meets the requirements of the class FIA LMP1, which is involved in endurance racing, including the marathon "24 Hours of Le Mans." In its development attended a French manufacturer of racing Dallara. 


Mass of the sports car is less than 1100 pounds. Overall length - 4710 mm, width - 2000 mm, and height - 1116 mm. Wheelbase - 2744 mm. 


The car is equipped with a 380-mm six-piston brakes with carbon wheels, steering dampers Öhlins, 18-inch wheels with tires brand Braid Michelin, as well as a steel safety cage. 


Renault Sport RS01 presented the world champion of Formula 1 and the international brand ambassador Alain Prost. According to the company, they have already received several orders for the car from motorsport teams.
